The Rock Horror Film Festival is back to shake your bones and raise your every hair with an exciting selection of 50 films from 16 countries in six breathtaking categories: Sinister Features, Bizarre Featurettes, Strange Docs, Macabre Shorts, Haunted Brazil and Pills of Fear. This year, our selection of fantastic films will be shown in the heart of the wonderful city at Cinesystem Praia de Botafogo. In addition to the films, we will have cinema workshops at the Sin Fronteras Filmes Studio in Lapa, Cinephile Happy Hours and Rock Nights in partner bars. Prepare your heart for days and nights of lots of popcorn, horror and rock & roll.

The first edition of the festival took place from April 4th to 8th at Reserva Cultural Niterói and from April 17th on September 23 at Reserva Cultural São Paulo and featured 33 films from 17 countries.
The second edition ran from November 29 to December 8 at Reserva Cultural Niterói, Cinemateca do MAM and Cine Star Laura Alvim with shows and workshops and featured 53 films from 17 countries.
The third edition was from September 17th to 27th and, due to the pandemic, it had all the concerts, roundtables, interviews and film screenings online and featured 57 films from 21 countries.
The fourth edition was from November 4th to 14th and, due to the pandemic, it had all the concerts, roundtables, and film screenings online and featured 54 films from 20 countries.
