Composition and soundtrack webinar with musician and director André Moraes, who has more than 25 awards and Grammy nominations on his resume.
Bernardo Herman's importance in the history of horror films is undeniable. His compositions were striking and decisive points in many films of the genre. Herrmann became known for being the composer of the main works of the master of horror, Alfred Hitchcock. Vertigo's unforgettable soundtrack, the main theme of Psycho, and the sound effect created by Herrmann's violins for the murder scene in the bathroom, is perhaps the most famous and most copied soundtrack riff in history. In addition to Hitchcock's classics, Herrmann began his career by making the film's soundtrack, which is perhaps the main cinematographic work in cinema history, Citizen Kane, by Orson Wells. Among his vast career, Bernard Herrmann still has in his history the classics “The Day the Earth Stopped”, and ending his career in one of the greatest films of the careers of Martin Scorsese and Robert De Niro, Taxi Driver. In this panel, André Moraes, composer and film director, will address the life and work of master Bernard Herrmann.
